Club Assist’s 2023 Modern Slavery Statement has now been officially published on the government’s Modern Slavery register.
The creation of the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 dictates that businesses must report on the risks of modern slavery in their operations and supply chains, and on the actions they’ve taken to address and mitigate the risks by submitting an annual statement to the government through a register.
In addition to modern slavery practices being against the very core of Club Assist, and specifically the ‘We Care’ pillar of our Values, we are required by legislation to report annually against a set of mandatory criteria.
Club Assist’s 2023 statement is our fourth report since the Act came into effect in 2019 and since our first report was lodged in FY20. Each year we’ve aimed to increase visibility and governance in our supply chain and commit to taking specific actions to mitigate the risks in our operations. This has included training modules for every employee to understand what modern slavery is and where the risks may lie in our operations and supply chain.
